Project Details
Captain is a mobile ride-hailing passenger app built as part of a wider transportation platform that also includes a driver app, React admin dashboard, NestJS backend, and PostgreSQL database. Riders can authenticate by phone number and OTP, search pickup and destination locations, request trips, review real-time driver offers, select the preferred driver, and follow the active ride on Google Maps. The app also supports live ride status updates, driver location tracking, in-app chat with voice messages, push and in-app notifications, wallet balance, payment methods, top-up flows, profile editing, password recovery, support, logout, and Arabic-English localization. The product uses Flutter and Dart with a feature-based architecture, flutter_bloc Cubit state management, repository layers, typed models, Dio REST APIs, Socket.IO realtime events, Google Maps, geolocation services, Firebase Cloud Messaging, and local persistence through Shared Preferences.
